Restoring the landscape

The Foundation has launched a project to restore and promote the landscape in and around Corippo and offer activities closely related to the area and the Alpine culture. The projects planned – some of which are already completed – include the restoration of terraced farmland and dry stone walls, the management of chestnut forests, the regeneration of fruit trees, vines, willows and cereal crops, the preservation of springs and fountains, the creation of hiking trails, and the restoration of the old mill, oven and graa – where chestnuts were traditionally dried.
A series of signs and educational trails through the village introduce visitors to Corippo’s unique character. There is also an information centre, brochures and a website.
The total investment amounts to CHF 710,000.
